Old School Gasser
Old School Gasser

This great looking old “gasser” was resurrected by my old friend Steve Catalini. He’s a great ‘ol hot rodder that can tell you all of the cool old tricks, such as; “AMC Pacer disc brakes and spindles bolt right onto a 48 Ford front end without any modifications….”, and stuff like that. He’s always a world of info and has great stories to tell.

Anyway, this is just one of the many, many cars he has built. It has an old race prepped 327 I built about 12 years ago in it that has 12.5:1 pistons, a forged crank, a healthy solid lifter flat tappet cam, “292” turbo heads that I ported, a port matched Victor Jr. intake manifold and so on. It’s a pretty nasty little 327 that runs on race gas. As far as nostalgia and having fun goes, Steve’s car is hard to beat. By the way, Steve hand paints pin stripes and little graphics such as flames. All of the little details you see on this car (checker board firewall, pin stripes, hand painted air scoop, etc.), Steve painted.
