Melissa's Hot '66
Melissa's Hot '66

This is 19 year old Missy Westerman's car. She class races it at Sears Point, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Bakersfield and so on. It's a mild looking 66 Mustang with a 9" rear-end, sub frame connectors and all sorts of other drag race friendly goodies. This car is streetable, so you might just see her cruising around in Sonoma. She was running 12.90's with her old 351W and a 4 speed. This little gal can bang the shifts better than most guy's on any day. After her dad installed an automatic tranny with a 4,000 stall, she peeled-off a 12.07 in Sacramento. When the car came to us, out came the 351W and in went one of our BAD-ASS 408 cubic inch strokers with a 4340 forged crank, 6.25" 4340 forged H-beam rods, JE Super Lite 11:1 pistons with iron ductile rings, a killer .620" lift solid roller cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads and matching ported Vic. Jr. intake manifold, ARP fasteners everywhere and a whole slew of other goodies. It's topped-off with a modified Holley carb, MSD ignition and is easily making 500 HP on pump gas! The engine is mated-up to a race ready C-4 with a 4,000 RPM stall converter. Now she's running consistent upper-mid 10's in the quarter! All throttle, no bottle! There aren't too many naturally aspirated 10 second street cars running around out there, so if you think you're fast, ask her for a heads-up race and see who wins. Our money is on Missy! You go girl!

Mind you, we built the engine for this car 8 years ago and it has raced the NHRA circuit EVERY year, from the San Francisco Bay Area, to So Cal, to Las Vegas and has had NOTHING but periodical spark plug and oil changes done to it. See any crate motors propelling cars to 3 foot wheelies and 10 second quarter miles times for nearly a decade with ZERO maintenance? Hardly! THAT'S what makes our engines truly BAD ASS!
