65 Mustang Sleeper

 
This 65 convertible may look tame and a bit weathered on the outside, but don't be fooled because underneath it's all fresh and ready to tear up the road! It came to us to get a new engine built, so I built a nice little full roller 302 set up with a Paxton NOVI 1500 supercharger. We also installed a new stage II AOD transmission and a small 2,400 RPM stall converter to go with it. Now this little beast is a tire shredder that can cruise down the highway at not much above an idle with its overdrive tranny. The owner came to pick it up and he drove it back to his new home in Florida! It drove great. Keep an eye out for old Mustangs like this and never underestimate one because you never know what's lurking under the hood.
