Seth's 66 Mustang
This infamous '66 Mustang was quite popular around the Sonoma Valley area many moons ago when it belonged to Steve "Mad Dog" DeMartini. It used to have a 289 with a single 4 tunnel ram back then (see the hole in the hood?), a 4 speed tranny and a 4.11 Detroit Locker 9" rear-end. It was fast for back then, but now it has a new owner, Seth Severson, and a new bad to the bone, "Bad Ass" 302 with forged internals, a .633" lift solid roller cam, massaged Edelbrock aluminum heads, etc, and it absolutely screams! In fact, it twisted an axle spline right-off one of the first times it was out when Seth grabbed 3rd gear, after burning through 1st and 2nd. Not too shabby for a 302 on pump gas!
Since the build of this little 302, it has ran great and super strong, but even with that, guys just can't get enough power, so when Seth wanted even more power, we installed an NOS Cheater nitrous system. We first set it up for a 100 HP shot and it went really well, but ya just can't get enough, so we bumped it up to 150 HP, and man does this little monster SCREAM! Luckily when the engine was built, it was set-up for hard abuse, so the ring gaps and skirt clearances were loose enough to accommodate a shot of nitrous this size without any harm. Now with its estimated 550 - 575 HP it has been running great for a few years without any hiccups.
