Shawn Patterson's El Camino

 
That's Shawn Patterson's 13 second El Camino and Ryan Daffurn's nice '66 Chevelle in the burn-out box at Sears Point. Both of these cars have been in our shop at one time or another, getting engine & tranny upgrades, suspension work, etc. Shawn has a nasty 383 stroker that we did for him in his el Camino. It has 11:1 pistons, ported heads and the usual other goodies we do to engines to make them powerful and reliable, along with a 3,000 RPM stall converter to help propel it into easy 13 second quarter mile times. Ryan's car runs very low 14's on a basically stock 350. We added a 3,000 RPM stall converter, a line lock system and a few other touches that netted him one less second in the quarter mile!
