67 Camaro RS 383 Nitrous

67 Camaro RS 383 Nitrous

This rare big block 1967 SS/RS, Camaro belongs to Matt of Santa Rosa. We did some disc brake work on it as well as went through the 4 speed tranny and clutch. Next on the list is a new big block.

Well... the big block idea got scrapped because Matt's dad would only allow him to have a small block in the car. Matt wanted some power but Dad was set on a small block. Not to worry though, we honored dad's wishes and stayed with a small block, a 383 stroker small block with a shot of nitrous that is!

The 383 is a 4 bolt main block with all forged internals, plasma moly rings, a roller cam with a nitrous friendly grind, a pair of Edelbrock RPM aluminum heads, a port matched RPM intake topped off with a Holley 750 carb and electronic ignition. It's a mild build that on a dyno made 414 HP on the motor and 527 HP with a small shot of juice. It made a ton of torque and is a jewel of a small block to drive. We kept dad's wishes of making it a small block car for his son but I think exceeded his expectations on the power of this little baby, LOL!

A nice, clean, simple looking small block. Look close and you'll see the NOS nitrous lines and solenoids.
