Fred's Beast

This is something not many people know we do... BOATS! We actually do quite a few boats and even dedicated a section of our site just for boats, but we don't have a lot of pictures of boats we've built or worked-on to show, and the one's that customers take and send-in sometimes aren't useable or clear enough for us to put in a gallery.

This particular beast of a jet boat belongs to Fred Jenke out of Stockton. It has a pretty nasty big block Chevy in it with a Kryptonite billet crank, Carrillo rods with CARR bolts, Arias pistons, nicely ported rectangle port heads, a pretty nasty solid roller cam and all kinds of other "go fast" goodies in it. It ate a lifter and a lobe on the cam so Fred brought it in to us for a go-through, so out came the engine and it got a complete going-over with some clean-up machining. In went a new set of HX series bearings, a new set of plasma moly rings, a new solid roller cam and lifter set, a billet roller timing assembly, etc., etc., plus we added Comp Cams billet stud girdles to help the valve train stay more stable and live longer. Now this 90 MPH boat screams better than it ever did before. Fred made sure to call us to let us know how much he appreciated everything we did and how much he likes the way this beast screams now!
