Monty's Vega

Monty's Vega

This is Monty Fitzgerald's Vega "Super Gas" car on one of it's famous wheel stands at Infineon Raceway. Monty is a hell of a nice guy who grew-up with drag racing in his blood. His father, Cloy Fitzgerald, was NHRA's Division 7 Tech Director for years. Now Monty puts-on his own race events.

We did all of the engine work on this car while we sponsored it. It ran 9.40's - 9.60's depending on the day when the throttle stops weren't on for Super Gas racing. It had a little 12.5:1 compression, rectangle port headed 427 big block in it that made an easy 600 or so HP on race gas.

We build, work-on, repair and upgrade all kinds of race cars and race engines. Whether you need engine work, machining, fabrication, wiring, welding, or just general repair work, give us a call.

See you at the track!
