Lindsay's 55 Vicky
This gorgeous 55 Ford Fairlane "Victoria" belongs to Lindsay MacDonald from Sonoma. We gave it a complete upgrade by completely rebuilding her original 292 "Y-block" engine, rebuilding the carb, overhauling her Ford-O-Matic tranny, installing new bearings in the rear-end and converting the tired, old drum brakes over to power disc. We also improved the original cooling system with a better fan and custom built 3 row radiator. Now this daily driver (rain or shine) purrs like it did the day it came off the showroom floor... only better! Lindsay drives this car on a daily basis. Watch for this cutie at Hot August Nights.
Years after we did this restoration, Lindsay decided to upgrade the powertrain, so we built her a nice little 302 engine and a much better C4 transmission for it. Now it not only purrs better but it also has more power and shifts much better with the more modern transmission in it.
