Charlie's Cobra
This beautiful black beast of a Superformance Cobra belongs to Charlie Wertheimer out of Danville. He came to us looking for a serious power plant, so that's exactly what we gave him! It has a 408 stroker in it with all forged internals, a billet main support, ARP studs, a roller valve train, big breathing Victor Jr. heads, a port matched Vic Jr. intake manifold topped off with a Quick Fuel carb and a billet MSD distributor. It's backed by a Tremec 5 speed. Mash the gas and this little beast will go sideways instantly, and once it hooks-up will seriously stick you in the seat! It's safe to say that this little 408 beast easily breaks the 500 HP mark.
This is the 408 all finished, just before it got dropped into the car. Simple, clean, reliable and VERY powerful!! Just the way we like 'em!
