Big Block 66 Chevelle

Big Block 66 Chevelle

This gorgeous, bad to the bone 66 Chevelle was a complete, frame-off, ground-up build for one of our clients. He wanted a semi-stock look. Not too radical, but with some balls under the hood and an upgraded suspension and chassis, so that's exactly what we gave him!

This beast has a full Hotchkis suspension under it with a 9" Ford rear-end, Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes, a Muncie M-21 4 speed mated to a McLeod scatter shield behind a quite healthy 468 cubic inch big block.

The interior is all stock looking in black, and is all brand new. It looks like it came off the show room except for a short throw Hurst Super Shifter III and an AutoMeter tach under the dash.

The beautiful 468 beast hiding under the hood. It is fully ARP studed with a 4340 forged crank, 4340 I beam rods with forged, lightweight JE pistons & TotaL Seal rings. It has a custom ground billet roller cam with Comp Cams light weight roller lifters, aluminum rectangle port heads, roller rockers, a port matched Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold, an MSD billet distributor topped of with a Quick Fuel Technology 750 carb. The exhaust is 3" with 3 chamber Delta Flow Flowmaster mufflers. It sounds mean and it goes like an absolute BEAST! The drive is exceptional with the Hotchkis suspension.

This baby has power steering, air conditioning and power brakes. It's a very comfortable driver!

To go along with the full Hotchkis suspension, we also added nice Wilwood disc brakes on both the front and the rear with polished 4 piston calipers.

This is how it all started, after we completely disassembled the entire car and took the body off the frame., this is a shot of the frame after it got chemically stripped, cleaned and painted.

Big Block Chevelle

A full Hotchkis front suspension, including springs, poly-graphite bushings, a-arms, a huge sway bar, etc, plus a set of Wilwood disc brakes.

Big Block Chevelle

The rear part of the chassis. A custom built 9" Ford with a set of Richmond 3.55 gears with a Track-Lock, 33 spline alloy axles, with Hotchkis springs, trailing arms, poly-graphite bushings, and a nice sway bar. Unfortunately ou can't see the nice Wilwood disc brakes in this shot with those crappy donor "roller" wheels on it. It is now on its way to our body & paint guy to set the body on, then its time to drop the engine & 4 speed in it!
