64 Falcon Sprint
This '64 Falcon Sprint is a sleeper if you ever saw one. It belongs to a customer of mine in Las Vegas. James came to us looking for a beast of a streetable engine that would blow the doors off of most anything that came-up along side it, yet still be reliable and low maintenance, so lurking under that inconspicuous hood is a hot little 408 stroker that we built for him.
Inside the 408 are all forged internals, JE pistions, H beam rods, etc, with one of our billet main supports, a hot little solid roller cam & lifters, Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads, a port matched Victor Jr. intake manifold, a Quick Fuel Technology carb, MSD ignition, etc, etc. It's enough raw power to propel this car into the easy 11's, and probably into the 10's if he can get it to hook-up!
The car appears stock on the outside but James did a little number underneath. The entire front suspension has been changed to a Heidt's tubular A-arm / cross member system that eliminates the inner shock towers. It has rack & pinion steering, big sway bars, disc brakes, etc. The rear-end is a 31 spine 9" Ford and a race prepped C-4 tranny with a 3,000 RPM stall converter. James did a great job on it!
Yes, that beast of a 408 fits under a stock hood! We've installed all kinds of 351W's, 408's, 427's, etc under the hoods of 64-66 Ford's where people say they can't fit, and yes... you CAN get to all 8 sparkplugs without busting a knuckle. All it takes is a little know-how.
