Corvette Racer

This little Vette autocross racer came to us for some "waking-up" and that's exactly what it got. This car runs the local autocross circuit and did fairly well except it just couldn't keep up with the fastest 3 or 4 cars in the class, so it came to us to see about waking it up a bit to put it at the head of the class, instead of in 4th or 5th.

Out came the stock 350 and in went a much healthier 350 with a full roller valve train, a bump up in compression, a cam much better suited for pulling hard out of the corners and for hard acceleration without having to wind-out too high, plus some much better breathing heads, a set of headers, and the stock EFI system was scrapped for a good carburetor. Now this guy IS the top contender in the class, and people are now chasing HIM instead of the other way around.
