468 Blown Street Beast
This big, beautiful blown and nitrous injected beast is going into a street driven '63 Caddy Hearse. We'll put some pics in our gallery of the car as soon as we get them.
It has a Scat forged steel crank and H beam rods with SRP forged pistons and Total Seal rings. A nice, marine profile hydraulic roller cam with Edelbrock rectangle port aluminum heads, topped off with a BDS 8-71 blower and a pair of Quick Fuel Technology 750 carbs, with the addition of an NOS 200HP nitrous system.
We dyno'd this one without the nitrous and it made an easy 677HP at 5,600 RPM on pump gas using a Stutska dyno. Anyone who knows Stutska dynos knows that they calculate a little differently and are known for calculating about 8% less than what a typical DynoJet or SuperFlow calculates, so you can bet on any typical dyno, this beast is really making in the 735HP or so area. With the nitrous you could expect an easy 900+HP out of it and still be a VERY streetable engine that you can actually drive to and from shows with. If you look close, you can see all of the custom serpentine pulleys, and notice that it has air conditioning and power steering! No one said you couldn't have power, looks AND comfort!?
Here is this engine on the dyno.
